Belt - Sarah Coventry. "SHELL BELT" from 1981. Pretty, shiny goldtone shell buckle with reversible grosgrain ribbon that has stripes on one side and kelly green on the other side. According to the catalog, it is adjustable up to 36" . Excellent condition. Extremely rare.
Note that the buckle is not a very practical design. The metal section that overlaps/fits under the other shell section to clasp is not long enough (in my opinion). It may hold better when worn, as it would be tighter and pull together better than when it is not on a body. This is not a flaw to the piece - it was designed this way.
